July, 2019. As of last Thursday, Avis Rent a Car has a new office near the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO).

• Avis SJO Office is the closest to the Juan Santamaría Airport, which during 2018 received 1 760 695 tourists.
• The new building was designed to take full advantage of sunlight and reuse water.

July, 2019. As of last Thursday, Avis Rent a Car has a new office near the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO).

The design of the new building was made to be 100% friendly with the environment, which also responds to the quality and demand of tourists arriving to the country.

"Year after year, Costa Rica shows a growth in the arrival of tourists and constant attraction of more airlines. With the opening of the new main office of Avis Rent a Car near the Juan Santamaría International Airport, we guarantee tourists an immediate transport service", explained Pablo Bogantes, General Manager of Avis Costa Rica.

The new facilities use solar panels to reduce the carbon footprint and takes advantage of natural light reducing considerably its energetic use.

Another element that make it sustainable with the environment is the latest generation of air conditioners imported specially for this project, oriented under the necessary standards to obtain the Leed Certification, to continue our path towards the goal of being Carbon Neutral.

Also, part of the design of this building includes a system that enables the usage of rainwater that falls on the roof. All this resource is directed to a tank of more than 6000 liters that is later used in ​​car washing, which ensures that not a drop is wasted.

This method includes cleaning soapy water and rain that fall in the parking lot, passing through four tanks that purify the water, ensuring that the water that goes out to the public sewage system is already treated and does not generate any type of contamination.

Avis Rent a Car has a fleet of more than 700 vehicles, 11 locations, and over 100 employees. This new location gives Avis the advantage of being the closest Rent a Car to the SJO Airport, allowing a faster service and an improvement in processes due to the proximity to the Airport and an overall better experience for its customers.
